Pre-Payment Meters

Some Utility Companies insist on a bankrupt person having a pre-payment meter for electricity, once the Bankruptcy Order has been made. We have long argued that this is unacceptable, given that supplies generally cost more with this method of payment. We were delighted to read in the press recently that this is an argument/concern which has now been accepted and those companies are being encouraged to stop this abuse.
